Fun for all the family
Family games
Every weekday we organise team games for all the family at the end of every afternoon from 5.30 to 6.30pm.
These game can vary from Waterpolo, volleyball, football, a mini-golf or table tennis competition etc….Quite often the suggestions will come from you, the families, as to what games should be played.
Walks
Our guide will regularly suggest discovery hikes.
Don’t forget to subscribe as the numbers are limited.
These hikes are free of charge.
Occasionally we will ask for a small fee if there is an entrance fee to a particular monument on the way.
These hikes are a good way of finding out about our area, its fauna and flora, as well as a bit of its history.
Discovering the area by car.
Once a week we offer a visit of the area based on a theme.
A member of our staff will accompany you. You could go to visit a farm museum, a deer farm, a string of water mills, pineau or cognac producers etc.
We limit these groups to around 20 people.
The cost is simply the entry fee to the visit for that day.
Stone carving
This summer a stone carver will come to the campsite 3 times over the summer season.
You will be able to learn the tricks of his trade while carving a collective piece of sculpture which will then be displayed in the courtyard of the campsite, as well as sculpting your own personal work of art.
There will be a charge for this activity and numbers will be limited to a maximum of 8-10 people.
Walks
We will suggest short strolls around the campsite or just outside.
You can choose from the bird walk, lovers lane, the Tardoire riverbank walk or a tour of the estate.
These short walks take between 15 and 40 minutes.
Fishing
The River Tardoire, which runs past the campsite, is a category 1° fishing river; you need a fishing card in order to fish there.
Children under 12 can fish with a single line rod.
You can also fish free of charge at our lake, (6km away).
Giant games
There is a giant chessboard and draughts board on the restaurant terrace for your use.
Ping-Pong
We have 1 indoor ping pong table and 1 outdoor table.
There is no cost for their use and we will lend you any equipment needed in exchange for a small returnable deposit.
Games room
We have a small games room, with a table football game and electronic slot machine games. I often come across bitterly disputed matches of babyfoot between parents and their children!
Watercolours and Pastels
An artist comes 4 or 5 times during the summer season to give half-day introductions to watercolours or pastels; numbers are limited to a maximum of 6 to 8 people. A fee is payable directly to the painter.
Massage
A professional masseur comes for one afternoon per week to offer relaxation massages.
It is possible to reserve for additional days. We had a lot of positive feedback from campers about the quality of this service – the masseur has a cabinet in the town of Nontron.
